The last few years we have been going to my daughter’s for Christmas day. My ”Son-in-law” well not quite as they are not married is in charge of cooking the turkey. My daughter said he said it was her turn this year.
I told her to tell him, that is not happening.
He makes the turkey so tasty, and I’m not sure I want anyone else to make it.
My daughter insists on buying an extra large turkey, which feeds sixteen. There are only seven of us, but left overs are the best bit (in sandwiches with cranberry sauce) I like tomato sauce too, but I was banned as a child because you weren’t allowed.
I find turkey dry other wise.
Roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, peas, Brussel sprouts, sweetcorn, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding. I don’t like Christmas pudding so I will have a treacle pudding instead.
Then sitting around eating chocolate for the rest of the afternoon.
You can keep your fancy restaurants and holidays, I am exactly where I want to be on Christmas.
Sounds wonderful, Diana! Merry Christmas 🎄 😀
Pax,
Dora
