Truth

Fill in: ‘If I were really completely honest, I would say that …’ This is a question for ‘radical honesty’. What are the things you wouldn’t normally say? Things you would otherwise actually hide? What’s on your mind? What would you really like to be able to say?

If I were completely honest I would say nothing to hurt someone else. Some things are just my opinion, and it isn’t up to me to hurt feelings because I want to be honest.

I am not perfect, and I don’t expect others to be perfect either. There are times when you are angry and you could be brutally honest, and then regret what I say. I would only be honest to help the person involved and not for my own peace of mind.

We have all told a white lie to spare others feelings.

Sometimes being totally honest with a person would do more damage than good.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
