E.M.’s Sunday Ramble Prompt #10

This week’s topic is “Music“.

Here are my answers to the questions:

  1. What is your favorite genre of music? I like any time of music, but my favourite singer is Bon Jovi. I love that type of rock music. It is real life music, that makes me feel better.
  2. What is your least favorite genre of music? House, it is all just a load of noise, and beat.
  3. What movie has a very memorable soundtrack? Star wars has a memorable sound track. The film franchise has made billions over the years, and many would be able to know the film before they see the credits.
  4. What are three songs that gets you excited? I Will Survive, by Gloria Gaynor was a song, which helped me when I was a child. When ever I was victimised at school I could sing out my troubles. My second favourite song is My, my, my Delilah. I’m not sure why, but it was a song from my childhood that always made me smile. The last is ”Living on a Prayer”. I love this song and something I can rock in the car to.
  5. What was the last song that you listened to? I’m not sure what song I listened to last. It was probably off the local radio and I wasn’t listening properly.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. I like “I Will Survive” too! It speaks to me!
I have prepared some posts with my re-interpretation of the words. 😦
This is a warning to you. You may not want to listen when they appear on my blog.

Wouldn’t want to ruin the song for you. 😉

  2. I had completely forgotten about House, Rap and other more modern genres, probably because I never listen to them if I can help it and don’t even think of them as music.
I do like Bon Jovi. They had some great songs. I remember “Delilah” sung by Tom Jones. I wasn’t crazy about it but he has a great voice and I like some of his later material much better.

  3. I also love Bon Jovi! When we were painting, we had it on my 80s playlist, and Bon Jovi was in there quite a few times. I was always so in love with Richie Sambora 😀 My favorite Bon Jovi song would be Never Say Goodbye, and Runaway would be a close 2nd place.
