Not even my mobile’s casing protected it from a drowning in my sink. I kept it by the side and it fell into the water. I grabbed the phone as quickly as I could, and thought it was okay, but about ten minutes later my phone went weird and now it has lost the will.
Fingers crossed, I am due for an upgrade anyway, but now it is sitting in dry rice, in the vain hope it might resuscitate my mobile. Otherwise I will have to go to my phone provider to see if an upgrade is possible.
It’s annoying, but totally my fault.
We only understand how much we have on our phones, until we don’t have it. I’m borrowing my husband’s phone when I got out tonight, but will need to pop into town to see if there is anything they can do.
This isn’t the first time it has happened. I put my daughter’s mobile in the wash once, but then it was her fault for not checking her pockets before putting it in the wash. Putting it in dry rice is meant to help, but that was for old phones with a normal battery. Worth a try, but I think I’m going to need a new one.
Yikes! Dry rice won’t help it if it an apple or android phone. I think you will need a new phone! I hope your data can be saved! Xx

The last time they were able to transfer all my date. My mobile was acting funny so I went to O2 who said, they could go back to factory settings and transfer my data. I’m hoping I can do the same again.

Hubby put his phone in the washing machine and it survived the first time. Sadly not the second so it was a new one. That fell in the marina. We managed with just one for a little while.

Ouch! I hope your data survived. It reminded me of a time when I tried to go down my sister’s slide (meant for the kids) and her slide was facing the pool. I came down so fast that my phone flew out of my hand into the pool…all the way down to the bottom. I eventually had to replace it. The speaker fried, and it stopped charging.
