If I Were A Rich Woman

What would you do for the world if you had 43 billion dollars to spend on anything and, when your done, you’d still be a multi-billionaire?

Well, like Fiddler on the Roof, the movie, if I were a rich woman . . .

That is such a lot of money, more money that I would know what to do with.

I would make sure my family were okay, and didn’t want for anything. All my bills would be paid and I would owe nobody anything. I would buy my daughter’s house. Make sure my son and his friend had a house, paid outright. I would buy a new car, as I have never brought anything that had never been driven.

I would donate money to charities, such as Cancer research, RNIB, Alzheimer’s and for any mental health. I would make sure to think about where I live, and how I can best help anyone in our local community. Perhaps open a shelter where homeless people can go.

Frivolous, I know, but I would buy Chelsea for my husband. It would worth the £3,000,000,000. He would be the happiest Chelsea supporter ever and I would make his day. Spending money on myself would mean going to see my bestie in America. We have known each other for forty-five years, but haven’t seen each other since we were fifteen.

I would then be able not to work, and write as many novels as I liked.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
