I celebrated Mother’s Day when Mum was alive by taking her out for a meal somewhere. Me, my brother and sister (plus all our families) joined forces and went together. She would love all the attention, and we could spoil her rotten.
My children are great when it comes to Mother’s Day. They will buy me things, and it is always what I want. My daughter has a habit of making things that will make me cry. Her last present, a cushion with a picture of me and my mum; complete with a message from an old birthday card.
Mum’s do an amazing job, and we should thank them.
I am told I am very much like my mum (good and bad), but I find that a compliment because she was a force to be reckoned with. If she were alive today, she would love to see how her grandchildren have grown, and meet my own granddaughter.
There isn’t a day I don’t think of her.
A beautiful tribute to your mom Diana. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
