Reflection of Me

My poem written for https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/2022/05/10/photo-challenge-413/ word prompt.

Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall,

your reflection is so cruel.

I dare not look

in case I see

the very worst version

of me.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,

your reflection gives me fuel.

Today I look

in case I see

the very best version

of me.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
