Holiday Yay!

  1. https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/ Same But Different prompt was perfect for me today.
  2. My ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in my writing. That’s right, you need to dig out my thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead. (cut, jump, cry, take, spill)

Today might be my last post for a week.

Sorry I am going to slice and run, but I am going on my first holiday in three years. Me, two dogs, my husband, a toddler, my son, his friend, my daughter and granddaughter, and two dogs are in a seven seater filled (not only with the car, but a carrier on top) with luggage, and food for the trip.

It’s just a pity we need to be in the car too.

I am going to leap into my car because I have been waiting for this holiday for months. I hope there is no weeping (from my granddaughter or my husband) or arguing. Although I can’t promise the latter. We are going to be in a tin box for four hours, legs to our knees and no space to move.

We are bringing so much stuff (my daughter’s suitcase is crazy) but all necessities. We literally had to tetrus everything in so nothing leaked out of the top of the suitcases.

My dog isn’t too happy right now, as he hasn’t been fed. He gets motion sickness, so that isn’t another thing we want to add to our already full trip. It is going to be fairly cramped for him, but we will take regular breaks.

We have bets on who will snap first, my daughter thinks it will be her because she is the driver, but I have a feeling it will be me. My stress levels lately haven’t been great, and I need this holiday.

I will try and do some posting on holiday (don’t want to ruin my streak). It is depending on WI-FI access in the caravan. I won’t post as much, probably updates. Where we are going, what we are doing and hopefully telling you lovely followers what beautiful weather we are having.

If I do not get a chance to post, have a look at some of my snippets from my book and previous posts.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Enjoy! Maggie used to get travel sick when she was a pup so we gave her a scrambled egg every morning. We checked with our vet who said as long as it didn’t affect her motions, it was OK, and we never had a problem for years. Just as well as she clocked up over 30,000 miles before she was 2!
