A little bit of padding isn’t something to be ashamed of. It just means you are a little bit more cuddly. We live in a world where what you look like is considered to be important. On Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and many other social media sites the only thing people see is perfection.

Perfect figures, faces, and lives.

We know, as adults, that our lives will not be perfect, but when you are younger and looking at famous people you believe in the dream. When they are not perfect they judge themselves. I’m glad I grew up in a world where the internet didn’t exist. The mistakes I made weren’t paraded for all to see.

Don’t be ashamed of not being perfect because nobody is perfect. We are all just trying to live our lives moving from one step to the next. If you want to lose weight, do it for yourself, not because you want others to see you as perfect.

Not even the celebrities have perfect lives. If you are cuddly be proud of who you are.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
