Picturesque

Weekend Writing Prompt #264: from Sammi Scribbles@wordpress.com. Write a poem, or prose in 54 words exactly.

A room with a picturesque view,

A beach, the warm sea rolling, rolling, rolling

back and forth in a quiet lull, until

the storm rages from deep within.

A room with a picturesque view,

A beach, the raging sea crashing, crashing, crashing

over and above sea defences, until

there is nothing left to see.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
