In a hundred words or less https://rochellewisoff.com/ has given us this picture prompt.
Clive leans against his wooden stick, and wanders back to the day Mary became his wife. He couldn’t keep it. They didn’t have a daughter – not any more. She never did see her second birthday.
The shop assistant stepped through the wooden door, and gently took it off the mannikin. Holding it over her arm, she disappeared back into the shop.
Maybe today was the day!
He didn’t know how long he was standing there, but a young woman walked out of the charity shop. In her arms a package.
He smiled, fading into the air, to join his wife.
