Sharing My World

A few more questions from Melanie’s Share Your World.

QUESTIONS

Do you ever feel more excited about getting the package in the mail, rather than the item that’s in it? I don’t get excited about getting a package in the mail normally because they’re normally a bill. We rarely get letters these days. Although near my birthday and at Christmas, I do get a little excited.

What is the difference between your ideal self and your real self?  (i.e. what attribute or physical feature would allow you feel the ideal ‘you’?) My ideal self wouldn’t worry about the little things, but then I don’t think anyone is their ideal self.

If you found $2,000 on the ground and there were no witnesses, what would you do with it? It depends. If it were in a wallet, I would take it to the nearest police station. If it were loose on the ground, I’m not so sure. It would also depend on where I was. If it was near a bank, then I would take it back in.

Are you ever morally obliged to take action? Under what circumstances? If someone was being hurt, then we are there to make sure they are safe, but then I would be much better calling the police, as I don’t think I would make much difference.

GRATITUDE SECTION
Please feel free to share how last week went for you.   Bright or not so bright spots?
This week wasn’t too bad, and it was nice to have some rest and off work for a little while. I spent some time with my daughter, granddaughter and son.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
