This week https://fivedotoh.com/2022/08/24/fandangos-provocative-question-179/ is whether we have been on a summer holiday, and whether we have taken precautions if we did.
My last holiday in May, we didn’t really take precautions. Nobody wore masks, and neither did we. Our holiday was in the UK, so I’m not sure whether I would have been more concerned if we went abroad. Probably not, as there are more strict rules.
It wasn’t very busy in May, so we sort of socially distanced because of that. We certainly weren’t worried about catching COVID. I am lucky enough to not test positive for COVID (that I know of). My daughter contracted it once, as did my granddaughter, a few months before we went away. They were lucky enough not to get it seriously, so maybe that affected our decision.
I’m glad you didn’t contract COVID despite not taking any precautions.

I made sure I was safe for others by taking a lateral flow test on the day we left, and then again when we got back, just to be sure.
