A circle of winding around like a snail’s shell, into a pile of carefully piled stones. Her new home, and Cerese leant against the oak tree. She was home, in a way she could never be. Now, it was just an expanse of grey, but soon, she would build on the foundations left by the tree spirits.
‘For all the love in the world, I build my home, for my unborn child. We will live in peace and help those who need it. I will be a safe haven for those who have lost hope.’ She sprinkled a layer of seeds, which gathered in each corner.
Each grey stone lifted, and soon her home was born.
Roses around the door; a garden full of precious vegetables. She wouldn’t eat meat, just plants, herbs, and water, from the stream beneath her home. This place, full of magic, would keep her safe.
Standing at her door, she opened to find a fireplace, a cauldron, and she walked inside, holding her spell book. Her mother’s only gift. Today, was the first of many gifts she was pleased to give back.
She was home.
Such a beautifully enchanting story, I love it.
