A Day to Remember

This picture from https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/2022/12/06/photo-challenge-443/ reminds me of a perfect day, over twenty years ago.

My nephew and his wife Kim were married on a beach in Haiti, and we weren’t able to be there for the wedding. He arranged a party in the UK. He hired a mini-bus and we all were taken to London. We went on the London Eye (I wasn’t confident enough to stand at the edge, and just help a glass of champagne in the middle. We took a river boat trip on The Thames, with drinks provided.

If I am totally honest, I lost a few hours that day, but we all had a great time celebrating their wedding day. It was a beautiful day, from start to finish. I still have the little, beach in a bottle, they gave to remember their wedding.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
