1. Away in a Manger It is where Jesus was asleep in the manger, so fast asleep, the animals didn’t wake him up.
2. Hark the Herald Angels Sing. The angels sang Jesus to sleep.
3. O Little Town of Bethlehem. It was the first town they saw, and it was always going to be where Jesus was born.
4. Silent Night. Mary, when he slept though the night for the first time.
5. While Shepherds Watched -Three babysitters, when Joseph and Mary wanted their first night out after their son was born.

Part 2:

What were these songs really about?

6. Mistletoe and Wine A party where there are sprigs of mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, and drink enough wine, and you don’t know who you are kissing.
7. Jingle Bell Rock In Blackpool, they sell rock at Christmas with jingle bell running through the middle.
8. Walking in a Winter Wonderland Santa, when he gets back from delivering all his presents, will take a walk in the winter wonderland before he drinks his eggnog.
9. Santa Baby The elves call him baby, to make him feel less old and more like a child.
10. Frosty the Snowman Is Santa’s bestie, and during the period after Christmas they ski down mountains with the reindeer.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
