Christmas is a busy time of year for a lot of people, mostly buying gifts we hope our family’s will enjoy. This year I have been extremely lucky; from wine, chocolate, leggings, jumpers, socks, Ravenclaw goblet, eternity ring, bath bombs, books and so much more.
I prefer to find gifts than receive gifts, although it is getting more difficult to think of what to get everyone. Sometimes it is the jokey gifts, which create the most laughter. I got my bestie a picture, of two old ladies dancing and my brother a picture of wellington boots, each designed for my brother, his wife, and all their grandchildren.
We were shopping, and I thought, I have to buy it, that’s perfect.
I was treated this year, my husband made me cry with the ring, but it is his 60th birthday in July, so I will treat him well. I’m not sure what to buy him, but there will definitely be a party to celebrate his birthday.
It is weird to think we are that generation.
Everyone eventually gets old, but that is a good thing, at least it is better than the alternative.

Ahh that’s so nice that you’re treating your husband! I love what you said about gifts, to ‘find them’ rather than ‘receive them’ Where do u tend to find yours? 😆

It depends, my friend’s gift was in a market, I got my brother and sister-in-laws gift there too.

I, too, love selecting and giving gifts rather than receiving. It is the heart the gift carries that makes a difference.

Even the novelty gifts, the ones that don’t cost much.
