A New Year

Written in response to https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2023/01/02/share-your-world-january-2nd-2023/. Here are my answers to their questions.

  1.  Did you stay up to see the New Year in? I stayed up, and spent the evening leading up to new year finishing off my whisky, and playing a board game with my daughter, son, granddaughter, grandson, and my daughter’s partner. Not quite a party, but I enjoyed it.
  2.  Are there any special occasions or events coming up in 2023 for you or your family? My husband is 60, my niece is 50, and my great niece and great nephew are 18, so lots of parties this year.
  3.  Do you keep a diary? I used to, but I don’t any more.
  4.  How did yesterday differ from January 1st 2022 or was there no difference? No difference, not really.

Gratitude:
As always, I am grateful for my family, both near and far. I am also grateful for my bestie, we have known each other for forty-five years.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
