What Does?

Written for the word prompt https://sammiscribbles.wordpress.com/2023/01/21/weekend-writing-prompt-295-loquacious/

‘Loquacious, what does that mean Mummy?’

‘I’m not sure what it means. Why are you asking?’

‘My teacher said it, earlier today. She said I was being loquacious.’

Molly’s eyes lifted a little, remembering what she was doing, when the teacher was showing them the phonic sound AY. She wasn’t really listening, and talking to her best friend. They were laughing, but stopped when the teacher stared at them.

‘I was chatting with Sally, she was talking about her dog, and I said I wanted to see it.’

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
