Cats, out of all the domesticated creatures, are by far the most independent. With a dog, they do everything to please their owner, part of your pack, they make sure your needs are met before their own. A cat, well, they are totally different. They will pester you until they are fed, choose to go out in the summer. Are determined to stay in the house during winter – they don’t like to be cold when going to the toilet. Sometimes a comfy cushion, or sofa, is preferable to going outside.
Dogs, when well trained, will hold it in. Although, when my dog was on steroids, we had to let him out regularly, even in the early hours, because he just couldn’t help it.
Cats, they try to teach us to hunt, leaving us a little present of a dead mouse or bird on our doorstep. It is like they are saying, here you are, dinner. I mean, I love the sentiment, but no thanks, I’m good.
Dogs will eat absolutely anything, but there are things they cannot eat: raw, green potato, sugar free chewing gum, raisins, grapes, and my dog, anything with wheat. It is difficult because we need to make sure he eats the right food.
I don’t think that you are supposed to give chocolate to a dog.

Chocolate is also toxic for dogs.

We had friends over a few weeks ago and one fed my dog and said “what you don’t like it?” I asked what it was and she said, “just an olive”. I grabbed it and said dogs cannot eat olives! Luckily, my dog didn’t have any effects

I have googled so many times, can my dog have this. I knew about grapes, but chewing gum is dangerous especially the sugar free. It makes me mad when people just throw it on the floor.

My father-in-law used to feed their dog raisins, one at a time, and the dog didn’t look any worse for wear. Never heard you can’t give dogs raisins…

They can’t digest them, and the vet said it can effect their kidneys.
