My house, and it was owned by someone, who liked to do all the DIY himself. He put a false ceiling up to hide the fact he made holes in a good ceiling. I’m still not sure why.
I don’t trust myself to DIY, I haven’t got any skills in that field, nor has my husband. It is why you trust in those, who do it as their job. Although, word of mouth, and their recommendations. Although, I have found a local firm, who have been great, and from repairing my ceiling to putting netting round my solar panels, they have been great.
If I did the DIY, I would end up in hospital. I’m clumsy, and managed to fall down stairs while wallpapering my landing. Not quite sure how, but I got up, and finished the job. I can paint, wallpaper, but anything more complicated and I will call someone reliable.

Word of mouth is the best recommendation. Hubby is pretty good at most things but won’t touch gas. These days the mind is willing, but the body is slowing down.

Don’t I know it. There are so many jobs needing doing at my house, I just don’t have the energy.
