Dreams

Written for https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2023/01/23/share-your-world-23rd-january/

  1.  Do you find it relatively easy to fall asleep at night? Most nights, I find it easy to sleep. Working during the day helps, and by the time it is eleven I find myself falling asleep on the sofa, with my husband telling me I need to go to bed.
  2.  Do you remember your dreams? There are some dreams I have a strong recollection of. Some, where they have come true. I was there at the birth of my granddaughter. I kept on having dreams of me giving birth, but my daughter was there. There were a couple of dreams where they could be classed as ”predictions” however the dreams are different. Most times I dream in colour, so bright I know it isn’t real.
  3.  If you can’t sleep, do you watch TV, read or listen to music in the hope you will nod off? Reading a book, or watching a movie always sends me to sleep. I miss the endings of any show I watch at night.
  4.  Can you literally sleep anywhere (chair, sofa, bus, train, flight etc)? Yes, but not in a car. I’ll have a power nap, but no more than that. I have never fallen asleep on a bus or a train, I would be afraid to miss my stop.

My gratitude is that I can dream of my family, especially those I have lost. It is nice just to sit in their company, even for a little while.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thanks for sharing your world Diana. I love your gratitude. My parents come to me in my dreams, as do beloved pets. Sometimes when I wake up I’ve been crying, but it’s happy tears at seeing them again, if only for a brief time.
