Control

This week #SundayPoser question is Do you think how we turn out is in our control?

We are brought up in a certain way, and that isn’t in our control. My parents taught me to be respectful, and treat others like I would want to be treated. I grew up in the seventies, a different time to now. I’ve learnt, as I grew up, that there is another element to respect.

It is about learning, not just accepting what we are told when we are growing up. I think every generation learns from the next. We are able to piece together all our information, and add pieces along the way. Some of my ideas, when I grew up, I have learnt to be different because of my kids.

Life isn’t in our control, not really.

If it were, there wouldn’t be bumps along the way.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
