My Kind of Name

If you could rename yourself, what name would you choose and why? I like my name, mainly because it was my big sister who gave me that name. I was meant to be Diane, but my mum couldn’t spell, so I was Diana. She could never spell that, and normally there were two n’s (Dianna). I love the meaning too, ”Moon Goddess”.

If you were tasked with naming a new star, what would you name it and why? I would name it Jack, after my dad.

If you were a story/comic book hero, what would your name be and why? I would be super talker. I could stop any villain by making them go deaf.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest? Cats! Like if they could talk, there would be lots of swearing and cursing. When they stare at you, you can almost hear them say, bloody hurry up with my food man, or is this all you can feed me. Dogs would be the most polite, always saying, I love you, ooh treats, I love you.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Love your thoughts behind your star. I could have called mine Henry. I was going to be Robert as Mum and Dad were convinced I was going to be a boy. When I arrived with the wrong plumbing I was named after the girl in the book Mum was reading, so I was christened Diana and then Mary after my maternal grandmother. Loved your answer to three, and many readers have gone with cats as being the rudest. Guess they are they say dogs have owners, but cats have staff, and we all know how some staff are treated!! Thanks for joining in.
