LOUNGE

‘Is that what you’ve done all day, lounge in front of the television watching re-runs of Bones?’

Sophie pushed herself up, scowling at her husband.

‘I’ve done the washing, tidied up, cleared up all the toys, and sorted out the sock drawer, I think I deserve a break.’

‘Only joking love, although, you might want to look in the kitchen.’

Taking a step off the sofa, she wandered into the room she had cleaned just hours before.

Amongst flour, and dog biscuits sat her three year old daughter.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
