Routine

Sunday’s question from https://earthlycomforts.uk/

Are you a person who likes their life to be orderly with set routines and schedules or is that not an essential for you to worry about?

I like routines, so that I don’t worry about the outcome. When I am at work, I will always have a coffee to start my day. I will write some of my book. I am the same during the holidays, but can spend more time to write. I also get time to spend with my daughter, son, husband and granddaughter. We don’t go anywhere fancy, just spend time with each other. I don’t tend to go out of any routine, and it is normally on holiday that I get to go out of a routine, and it is nice.

Are you a natural people watcher and if so what do you enjoy about the experience?

I do tend to people watch, like all writers, there may be a character in your book, which would fit a story line. Although, most are a mixture of people.

Do you think your online persona is very different from the one at home or are you exactly the same as you display yourself to your readers? I’m more confident on-line. When I am at work, I am quite shy, if I am talking to one person on their own. Even during my writing group, or Slimming World, I keep mostly to myself. On-line, I don’t have to worry about being perfect. I know, a little bit daft. At home, with my family, I can be myself.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
