Forgotten

They call me the unrepentant thief.

It started with a few shiny objects; a new penny, shimmering on the ground, waiting to be shifted into my beak, into an empty nest. Then, I got more confident, a forgotten, pearl earring, a silver ring, a brilliant gold bracelet.

They nestled together, and nobody could solve the mystery: I always escaped without getting caught.

I wasn’t sorry, at least not then.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
