First Love

Something I thought would last forever, but faded over time.

As a teenager, you think your first love will last forever, but fades over time. The first time I ”fell in love” I was fourteen. He drove a Radio Rentals van, and was three years older than me. I don’t think he knew I existed and was more interested in my friend.

A love, that has not faded, and grew over time was for my husband. I met him on a blind date. We work great together, have had two children. Our marriage is strong because we have been through so much in our thirty-five years together. The love for my children, family, will never fade.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
