A network of writers is something I am proud to be part of.

When I first started blogging, it was to promote my book. I had been on Twitter, Facebook, and was advised this was the next step in my journey. Have I got many sales? No, but I don’t think it matters. What matters is that I have found an amazing group of writers, who get why I write.

My husband, says it is my hobby. If I could write full time, and get paid to do so, that is the job I would love to do. The trouble is, even writers with an agent, rarely earn that much. In the words of the song, ”I have bills, I gotta pay.”

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Writing can take us down a path we never knew existed. I mainly do it for myself. I find myself writing (mostly poems) coming back to a piece and getting new ideas and rearranging/adding/subtracting. Often something can morph into a complete new thing.
    With WP I can include a graphic or recording and add some style to the entry. I’m always fiddling with how the final post will look.

    You never know when you might hit the jackpot $. I hope you do.

  2. Thanks for including me and my blog in your network of writers. I appreciate that. I think many of us would love to be published authors of best sellers, but as you said, I’m happy to be a member of a community of talented bloggers and writers like you.
