Charmer

‘Dad would have called him a blatherskite,’ Sheila’s mum said, looking at her daughter straight in the eyes. ‘He’s a charmer, anyone can see that.’

‘Mum, just because he likes to dress nice, doesn’t mean he can’t be trusted.’

‘Love, it isn’t how he dresses, it’s what he says. All this rubbish about owning his own company, taking you on holiday to America. Every time you go out he forgets his wallet, and you have to foot the bill.’

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
