Why do you scream, little human?
I was happy in the jungle, and then you put me in a zoo with wired fences. Yes, you give me sustenance, but there is more to being a dinosaur than devouring dead meat? Hunting is in our DNA. Scared? You should be.
Sometimes I wonder if you realise the destruction your kind can bring.
Cars, spewing out carbon dioxide, causing global warming. Animals hunted for nothing more than their fur. Produce wasted in many parts of the world, and starvation in others. Whatever I accidentally do cannot be compared to your actions.
Yet, there is hope, little human.
I see in the faces of the young. Let’s inspire each other. Electric instead of petrol is a start. Wind, solar, and hydropower are excellent efforts. Plastic is being used less, and other ideas sought more.
Hear me roar, little human.
It is not hatred, but a cry for help. You will find out the cruel nature of climate change. Dinosaurs have no disposable thumbs. You do, so please, provide a solution not a problem.
Little human, you need to do more.
to save earth, so future generations have the benefit of a long lasting home.
Love it Diana! ❤

Diana,
Your use of the dinosaur’s voice adds a unique and compelling angle to this piece; and I think the juxtaposition of the dinosaur’s natural instincts with the destructive actions of humanity creates a thought-provoking contrast.
