The Sunday Poser this week is asking if we have any worries.
For myself, I do not worry because I am nearly sixty and as long as I look after myself, I have at least twenty more years in me, so I let my concerns slide.
My fears are for my granddaughter, when she grows up, and how manipulative everything is going to be.
There are algorithms everywhere you are online; Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram and even Word Press and what we see designed to spread the same ideals.
Saying that, being human, we are built to survive.
She is bright, and there are others in her generation, who are also clever, so it isn’t so much about worrying about the future, but about teaching our children the right way to make a difference and hopefully reverse previous mistakes.
A lovely way to feel, Diana. I try not to worry about things I can’t control. There is no real point.

Very true, in a way you take back some control when that point of view is seen.

At the very least, you don’t worry absolutely everything.

I think a lot about how best to raise my nine-year-old daughter in the modern world, in the context of what you’ve written here… It’s scary…

I agree that it’s going to be a difficult life for our grandchildren.
