Writing

I am most creative first thing in the morning.

Before I go to my job, I engage in writing for half an hour. I find myself more productive then because there is a limited amount of moments. The more I dedicate to my novel, I keep wanting to change it.

When I have hours to write, it is never as good.

I used to handwrite my intitial ideas, and because of this, I wasn’t concerned about the edits. They were just rough notes, which could be filled out later. When I type on to a computer, it is more difficult to keep it as a draft.

Creativity is a concept we should take pride in.

If you are an artist, it doesn’t look perfect at first glance, so it should be the same for writing.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. I think revision, time, and space are vital parts of the creative process.🕴It is strange how when you have the last two at your disposal it can be hard to do the first one, but I also think my subconscious is always at work on my stories, even when I’m sleeping.
