In our hand,
we have a pair,
protecting each other
to help during tough moments
or share the joy.
Even the jokers make us laugh.
When there is a straight run,
the colours run into each other
we stretch forwards as a deck.
When your cards don’t match,
we bluff our way through.
Whatever life deals,
we are stronger as a deck.
A lovely and inspiring poem Diana. Loved the message of unity in your poem. Thanks for joining in.

I’ve dabbled but never really had a group of friends to play a hand with,

I used to play with my family for pennies, but we stopped a few years ago. My nan held a card school in her home.
