I would advise a new blogger to enjoy the experience of being around a community of writers. Steer clear of topics where you possess a strong opinion as our viewpoints will vary.
Politics is one thing I won’t reveal.
Even when you are dealing with family, you should exercise caution in order to avoid disturbing that specific hornet nest.
If you participate in word prompts, it helps you write, but ease up on the amount of posts in a day, as too many can be overwhelming for other bloggers.
Make sure you check for any inconsistencies, and applying tools like Grammarly or Prowriting Aid, assists with that.
Fun is the most important factor, and take a break when you feel you are spending too much time stressing about what to post and when. Do not chase the likes or comments, and just enjoy being part of a group of talented authors.
Whether it be short stories, or parts of their novel, we all share a love of writing.
This sounds like wonderful advice, Diana.
