Feel my face
in a mask of green gold,
sometimes I lose my faith in the mould.
Touch my tears
Trailing from tired eyes,
sometimes I lose my clown disguise.
Hear my thoughts
black as a starless night,
sometimes I lose and its flight or fight
See my fears,
write them down in dismay
sometimes I wish they would fly away.
Share the load
talking helps to atone
I know I am never truly alone.
I really like this 💜💜

Stellar writing, Diana, with every line throbbing with the bleak darkness of the persona’s thoughts. The ending is a welcome lift.

I find it helpful to write my thoughts … both the happy and the dreary ones. Since I seem to always write poems/ rhymes the thoughts can really change.

They can, we need both for our stories.
