Lethargic steps in time

with the long shopping line

hoping our bank account is fine

ignoring all the red.

hot coffee for a break

with a well-earned cake,

so that we could make

our money last.

Opening with glee,

a grannie loves to see

their grins, important to me

on Christmas day.
