Believe in hope, cope
with problems, with stems
of nature, each bloom, soon
will grow, I know
each bud smiles, while
each brilliant ray, says
I’m taller now, how
my petals combine, in line
with a chance to be me.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

Diana, this poem feels uplifting and flows beautifully from one hopeful image to the next. Don’t forget to share it on Mister Linky so other prompt participants can enjoy it too!
Just a small note: echo verse typically involves repeating the final syllable or sound of each line, but your approach with rhyming the last two words creates a unique effect that’s also captivating. It’s such a great twist on the form!
Much love,
David
