Spills of Guilt

Transformation of forgotten fears

Real to us when we forget the

Advice we give freely to others.

Nesting in our minds conflicting

Spills of guilt, we cannot control

Fighting against the layers, we hide.

Only there is another way.

Realising we deserve hope too

Moving forward rather than back

Allow ourselves a breather

Tell a tale of promise and love

Instead of being hurtful

Our self inflicted punishment

Never winning.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
