My favourite dates would have to be the days my children were born.

Being a mum is the most amazing part of my existence.

When my daughter burst into my world at nine pounds one, I didn’t realise how things would change. Five years later, my son arrived, a hefty nine pounds, ten ounces. I was never afraid because they always had a strength about them.

I witnessed the birth of my grandchild. It is something I won’t forget. A tiny version of my little girl.

Whatever happens in my life I count myself blessed.
