Common Sense?

We all have an opinion on something; when I am blogging, I keep that to myself. Mostly about politics and religion. The same with family. I don’t like confrontation and these topics could cause arguments.

It is different with my grown up kids because through them I understand life a little better. I grew up in the seventies and eighties. Some of my parent’s beliefs I do not share and I hope they listened to me when I presented my viewpoint. When I discuss sensitive issues with my children, there is honesty of both sides. We do not have to agree. That is okay, but at least I can understand when I am incorrect.

It isn’t the same as intelligence. You might be the cleverest person on Earth and still only have knowledge.

There are many people in the world without common sense in a position of power. They lack the understanding of listening to their fellow humans or admit to making a mistake.

For me, that is the opposite of common sense.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
