Sarah wondered what choice she had in her first therapy session; her plan of remaining undetected by teachers. Eyes down, focussed on her work, she could wear her mask of invisibility.
‘Please, do this for me, I cannot lose you too,’ her dad said.
She chewed the inside of her gum and swallowed metallic bile – James, his Man United football top hidden by a black hoodie, urged her to accept.
‘How can I talk to a stranger?’
‘It is easier love; there are things I cannot say to family, but when I talk to Heather, I don’t have to be . . . me.’
