Legs crossed, I lean

into a breathtaking scene

as a crescent moon shifts in

her own lingering look to another

night of protecting its family below.

My heart slows down a beat as I

admire its smile across the miles

To God I pray to keep them wrapped

in his strong roots of love and care

and let them know I am always there.
