Anyone in the UK probably would relish a thunderstorm; we don’t fare well in humid heat. I spent the afternoon in my swimming pool; put up for my granddaughter. She went swimming at the pool today, and I sat there in peace reading my book. What a beautiful way to spend an afternoon.

Overwhelming heat

humidity pressing down

twisting and turning

Lightning strikes blind

thunder rumbles over me

cooling water pours
