Wing and a Prayer

There once was a chicken, Sir Swellimpedeedoo

He couldn’t cross the road, didn’t know what to do.

With a wing and a prayer

He ran all the way there

and gave his flatmate her clues.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

      1. It was back in 2020 when the borders were closed. We were out for a drive and the sign if police stopping anyone crossing into NSW was so unusual, then a chook ran across the road, crossing the border……and that set of my imagination in a very quirky way!
