During my GCSE English course, in 2020, I needed to complete a speaking and listening pitch. I discussed why using mobile phones before bedtime is not advisable because it makes it difficult to fall asleep.
I was nervous because I hate speaking in public. It was only three minutes, but it felt like a lot more. I am proud that I got a merit for that part of the exam. I also passed with a level seven (A). In 2025, I passed my GCSE Maths with a level five, which is equivalent to a B grade.
It also helped me as a teaching assistant, and I am proud that I can support students who find these subjects hard. I would love to hear of something you are proud of.
That’s very great! 👍

It is wonderful that you have achieved such good grades in these difficult subjects. I am proud that I am able to persist at new tasks and learn how to do them.

Congrats on getting through that pitch. I am also not a fan of public speaking. I am very proud of Writober this year. I knew it was going to be a big challenge to get all the prompts and posts together while going through chemo, but I was determined to continue hosting my favorite yearly event. And I’m so glad I pushed through, because I’m having fun. The daily photo challenge gets me out of bed, dressed, and moving every day, and the poem and flash fiction story are keeping my mind active. 🎃

Thank you, and I agree. Keeping active is important. Writing has been something that helps me too. 🥰
