My Mistake
Written today for https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/category/blogging/ Do you feel comfortable pointing out a very obvious mistake in a blogger’s post or do you shy away from doing so? Conversely, do you appreciate it if someone points out your mistake or does it offend you? I wouldn’t point out the mistakes in someone’s writing because it is betterContinue reading “My Mistake”
Looking For
Written for https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/2023/11/06/what-do-you-see-111-october-6-2024/ ‘This is the sign you have been looking for,’ Sarah said. It was like the money flashed with neon letters. ‘I know, right,’ Steven said, his eyes firmly planted on the money in her hand. A wad of fifty-pound notes, wrapped in nothing but an elastic band, the source of their surprise.Continue reading “Looking For”
Ideal
Written for https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2023/11/06/share-your-world-special-remembering-melanie-sparks-from-a-combustible-mind/ QUESTIONS Do you ever feel more excited about getting the package in the mail, rather than the item that’s in it? One minute she was living in the dream in glorious technicolour, imagining the tightrope across the grand canyon. The next, flat on her back, pain powering through her veins. ‘You okay?’ GeorgeContinue reading “On Balance”
Firework Night
This week for https://weeklyprompts.wordpress.com/?p=13979&preview=true Bursts of light in a bid to escape from their flaming bonds explode against the darkness breaking open into another universe before their light dims on another exciting display of hope.
Innocent
Written for https://sammiscribbles.wordpress.com/2023/11/04/weekend-writing-prompt-336-search/ Dave’s hand covered the bible, as he read his statement. It wasn’t like he was a believer – there was nothing to feel guilty about. This evil predator deserved to be in prison. What did it matter he was innocent of this crime? There were many other women who suffered at hisContinue reading “Innocent”
Family

It is our family tradition to see each other a week before the actual day. My big brother or my niece will be responsible for the food. We don’t reallyContinue reading “Family”
