Sent my final draft of my play The Kingswood Beast to the director. Now it is up to him to bring my words to life. I have enjoyed the whole process, and still can’t quite believe that my words will be spoken by real life actors. It’s not bad for a fifty five year oldContinue reading “Plays, performers and perfection”

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
A day spent writing the final draft of my play. Fingers crossed. The director still might send me an email with suggested changes. On an non writing note, I walked my dog Titan, painted (by numbers only) and had my dinner cooked by my son. All a bit boring, but relaxing all the same.
Family, catch up, and going back home
I moved from my home town three years ago, and this weekend went back home to visit my brother and brother-in-law. Great to catch up, as it has been a year an a half since we saw them. I don’t regret leaving my home town, but I do regret that my family are so farContinue reading “Family, catch up, and going back home”

Strength, Power, and Healing
I’m a big believer in people being stronger than they think. We all have an opinion of ourselves. My main character Martha believes she is to blame for the failure of her marriage. Her obsession for perfection leads her down a cracked path. If she had known her own strength she would have left himContinue reading “Strength, Power, and Healing”
Thanks for the great review!
On a day where my car decided it needed new brake disks, I needed this break. Diana, sorry it’s taken me so long but I have finally posted my review to “It Won’t Happen Again,” on both Amazon and Goodreads. I, of course, gave it a 5 star rating! The review goes as follows: “IContinue reading “Thanks for the great review!”

Chapter Two – If you want to read on . . .
Martha’s life with Thomas seems perfect. He buys her flowers every time they argue. Makes sure she is warm when they go to church on a Sunday. Neighbours admire their strong marriage. She strives for perfection, but finds only control. If you want to read on from this snippet of my book – visit AmazonContinue reading “Chapter Two – If you want to read on . . .”
Snippets of my book It Won’t Happen Again
‘Mum, where on earth did you find Buddy?’ ‘In the loft.’ ‘I thought you got rid of it.’ ‘Never, you loved it and so did I.’ Tabitha eagerly reached for one of its paws. ‘I love you Nanny – Buddy welcome home!’ It was only when she hugged her granddaughter that she faced her daughterContinue reading “Snippets of my book It Won’t Happen Again”
Sunday Special
Thinking of what do to on a Sunday. Whether it be painting by numbers, or walking my dog Titan. It is good to take time out to do something other than writing. I take inspiration from my main character Martha. She is a painter, but hasn’t picked up a brush since the death of herContinue reading “Sunday Special”
