‘There is a realm of possibilities at your feet,’ Sheila said, handing me a cup of coffee.
She knew me so well. Normally tea was something offered when stressful moments arise out of nowhere. She understood, coffee was my preferred drink of choice. It caused my brain waves to think more clearly.
‘I’m not sure what I want to do,’ I said, drinking the scorching liquid in one go.
‘Then take a break, go on holiday somewhere. You don’t have to think about any of this now.’
A holiday was a great idea. ‘Where shall I go?’
She smiled, and brought out a holiday brochure. ‘Close your eyes and pick a place.’
I did as I was told. With my eyes firmly closed, I leafed through the pages. When I was ready, I looked down at my choice. Italy. I had always wanted to go there. I had both my jabs, had my passport renewed, and I booked my dream holiday.

A trip to Italy sounds great! As does a cup of very hot coffee.
