In answer to the question, what did I want to be when I grew up. I’ve always wanted to be a writer, that has never changed. I am a writer now, and was when I was five. I also wanted to be an actress. I was going to be centre stage. I did a little bit of drama at school. I played the mother of the main character, and a can can girl.
I also wanted to sing. At one point I was in the school choir. We sang to the elderly at Christmas. It was a good job they were deaf, as I am tone deaf with my singing. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it, but even my children told me not to sing nursery rhymes.
So that’s me, and I never got to be an actress, but that’s okay because I probably wouldn’t have been any good. I got to be part of that world, but in a writing capacity.
Instead of acting in a play, I’ve written one.
